One program we especially want to highlight is Horizons Neurological at Allaire, a specialized program serving adults ages 18–59 living with neurological impairments, including Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injuries, and other complex neurological conditions.

Horizons focuses on helping individuals achieve their greatest possible level of independence through individualized neurological treatment plans, ongoing physical, occupational and speech therapy, therapeutic recreation, specialized programming, assistive technology, and a multidisciplinary approach to care.

The program also features a dedicated neurological care unit, sensory spaces, and an Assistive Technology Computer & Communication Center with adaptable computers, providing residents with additional opportunities for communication, recreation, cognitive engagement, and independence.

This type of specialized neurological care can make such a meaningful difference for individuals and their families navigating life after a traumatic brain injury or other life-changing neurological condition.
