Joining Sea Scouts & Ship-243 Linden NJ:

Sea Scouts is a co-ed program for young adults Male & Female who are 13 years of age and have completed the eighth grade or are 14 and not yet 21 years of age. The Sea Scout program and Ship-243 allows fema

les to be registered youth in the program, as long as they meet the age and membership standards of the Boy Scouts of America. It is not a prerequisite for any person to have been a Girl Scout or member of another girl youth program prior to joining. Approximately 35% of

Congratulations to this crew Scouts from Ships 243&228 joined forces at the Beachwood Sea Scout Regatta. They placed 1st in Sea Scout Olympics, 1st in navigation skills,placed 1st in 1of 5 sailboat races which put them in the 1st overall position. This is the second year scouts from Ship 243 took the 1st place position Bravo Zulu

Last weekend our scouts traveled to Baltimore Maryland to visit the Nuclear Ship Savannah and the Steam Ship John W Brown. They got to spend the night on the Brown after touring the Savannah. The Brown is one of three remaining Liberty Ship out of over 2700 built during WW 2. The Savannah is the only nuclear powered U S Merchant Marine ships built

Hats off to our local USCG Station

At approximately 0355 local time, Station Manasquan Inlet was notified of a 74’ vessel with 03 people on board rapidly taking on water. The vessel eventually broke into two parts as our crew arrived on scene and safely transferred all personnel.

BZ to the crew for another lifesaving mission!
