BACKGROUND

Our association was founded Sept. 1992 at the Gifford Yacht Club in Toms River, NJ. It relocated in 1995 to the VFW post on Ridge Rd in Manasquan, NJ. We then relocated to our present location at the American Legion Post 129, Toms River, NJ. Many in our association are members of National Tin Can Sailors, Inc. Our association is involved in the following:
• Local Parades
• Educational Displays & Programs.
• Funeral Services for Deceased Shipmates.
• Supporting our Local Veterans.
• Supporting the Historic Fleet & Museum Programs.
• Supporting the Navy Memorial “Stories of Service” Program & arranging interview opportunities. We are the proud owner of an 8 1/2-foot Gearing Class Destroyer model "USS ALLSHIPS" built by previous members of our group & is on display at American Legion Post 129.
