Following Hurricane Sandy, First Assembly of God Toms River wanted to continue reaching out to the community by assisting in relief efforts. As a church we were able to provide hot meals, buckets filled with cleaning supplies and “man power” as we sent teams to different houses that were devastated by the super storm. Time progressed and it became evident that the recovery would be a long term pro
cess. Shore Hands Distribution Center was established. As a pantry we operate on a donation basis as well as the assistance from the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Individual s or Families in need are welcome once a week at the pantry. Basic food, toiletries, cleaning supplies and clothing are available on need basis. We gladly accept donations of non-perishable food, toiletries and cleaning supplies. Donations may be dropped off any time during pantry hours or by contacting us to make other arrangements.
