🇺🇸🏅 What a week. What a team. What a year. 🏅🇺🇸
As the 2026 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference comes to a close, we are overwhelmed with pride for every student who represented OCVTS on the national stage.
These students traveled across the country, stepped outside their comfort zones, competed against some of the best skilled trades students in America, and represented Ocean County with professionalism, determination, and class. Whether they brought home medals, personal bests, new friendships, or unforgettable experiences, every single one of them is a champion in our eyes.
To our competitors: thank you. Thank you for your countless hours of practice, your commitment to excellence, your willingness to learn, and the way you represented your schools, your programs, and your community. You made us proud every single day.
To our advisors and instructors: thank you. Behind every competitor is a teacher who stayed late, came in early, coached, encouraged, supported, and believed in their students long before anyone else saw the results. Your dedication changes lives.
To our administrators and district leadership: thank you for supporting career and technical education and providing opportunities that allow our students to grow, compete, and succeed on a national level.
To our parents, families, and guardians: thank you for the rides, the practices, the encouragement, the sacrifices, and the unwavering support you give these students every day.
To our community partners, employers, sponsors, alumni, and supporters: thank you for investing in the next generation of skilled professionals. Your support helps make experiences like this possible.
And to everyone who followed along from home, liked a post, shared a story, sent a message, wished our students luck, or cheered them on from New Jersey—thank you. Your support was felt all week long.
SkillsUSA is about far more than medals. It’s about leadership. It’s about technical excellence. It’s about character, teamwork, professionalism, and preparing students to become the skilled workforce our communities depend on.
This week, we saw all of those qualities on full display.
We couldn’t be prouder of Team OCVTS and everything they accomplished. The future is bright because of young people like these.
Congratulations, Team OCVTS. Enjoy this moment—you earned it. 💙
