The Toms River Education Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) dedicated to ensuring that all students have access to participation in extracurricular school based programs. The Toms River Education Foundation is comprised of community based volunteers. The Foundation is non-political, and is designed to help bridge the financial gap created by the loss in State aid so that extra-curricular school
based programs may still be available to all students, regardless of financial ability to participate. In an effort to achieve the goals of the Toms River Education Foundation, the primary focus of the Foundation will be on fundraising for our students. Loss in State aid cannot deter the goals of our students or create a disparate system of involvement based upon financial status. The Toms River Education Foundation is operated solely by volunteers who make up the Foundation's Board of Trustees. No volunteer receives any monetary pay as all proceeds raised by the Foundation are directed to extra-curricular programs for the students of the Toms River Regional School District. The Toms River Education Foundation understand the importance of transparency as a non-profit organization with a focus on fundraising. The Foundation's success requires the public's trust and demands honesty and integrity from every member or trustee at every step of the process. With a focus on transparency, any and all financial information regarding the Foundation will be considered public record. The Foundation is an independent corporation that is designed to provide additional financial assistance. The Foundation is not focused on a particular sport or club, but rather is focused on providing all students with the ability to participate in any and all clubs, art programs or athletic teams.
