Please join us for the annual Neal Cemetery Memorial Day Program under the Neal Cemetery flag, which will be at half-staff in remembrance of those who have sacrificed so much for us and out country. The program will be held at Neal Cemetery, May 26th, 2024, at 2pm. The program will consist of patriotic music, guest speakers, DAV Color Guard 21-gun salute, and the playing of TAPS.

Donations to Neal Cemetery can be given to any board member (Carlie Proffitt, Geoff Pare, Chan Brown, Debbie Davis, Nikki Gary, Billy Clay Hughes and Carol Light) or placed in the secure donation box at the cemetery. You may also donate through Venmo account at NealCemetery@Neal-Cemetery. Please give if you can. Every contribution helps!

We are attempting to update the records of the cemetery. Several reserved markers have been placed on the grounds. But many of these are not on out records. Please contact a board member for documentation if you have placed a marker for a plot in the cemetery.

Also, with mowing season beginning, all decorations should be placed on a monument. A shepherd's hook is permissible if it touches a rock. Any other items should be removed in accordance to the rules and regulations of the cemetery. Thank you!

Neal Cemetery memorial service will be held May 28th at 2pm. If you would like to make a donation to help with maintenance and mowing, you can see any board member or place a donation in the donation box. Venmo and PayPal also available under neal cemetery. PO Box 240, Gamaliel Ky 42140 for mail. We also would love if anyone has any letters to read or photos to display of those who served and are interred at the cemetery for the memorial service!

The board of Neal Cemetery would like to recognize a longtime volunteer at the cemetery. Mr. Jerry Agers has served behind the scenes for many years. Jerry had a deep respect and appreciation for all the men and women who serve in the armed forces protecting our great country. Jerry researched and maintained records of each veteran buried at Neal Cemetery. The name, branch of service and time period served were documented from the Civil War to present day. Jerry personally placed the American Flag at each veteran’s grave on Memorial Day and has done so for many years. Jerry passed away on September 25, 2022. His selfless service has been a great asset to the board and a true blessing to the families of veterans who rest at Neal Cemetery. He will be greatly missed.
