🚨Transparency & Truth 🚨
I pray this blesses someone
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
❤️🩹 LORD, HIDE ME UNTIL YOU HEAL ME.
Thank You ❤️ Evvie Smith
This morning during Daily Prayer Is Key, these words came out by Pastor Evvie
“Lord, hide me until You heal me.”
And this time, those words hit differently.
Because I’ve learned that sometimes what we call waiting is really God processing us.
I’ve walked through seasons where I prayed for restoration.
Prayed for my marriage.
Prayed for my family.
Prayed for answers.
Prayed for truth.
Prayed for God to fix what was broken.
But somewhere in the middle of praying for God to change the situation, I realized:
GOD WAS CHANGING ME.
(Giving myself) ❤️
He was teaching me that restoration doesn’t always mean putting something back together exactly the way it was.
Sometimes restoration begins with YOU. (ME)
Your heart.
Your identity.
Your discernment.
Your boundaries.
Your confidence.
Your relationship with God.
Your ability to recognize what is healthy and what is only familiar.
I kept asking God, “When?”
When will things change?
When will the prayer be answered?
When will the truth finally produce change?
When will what was broken be restored?
When will I understand why I had to walk through this?
And I believe God began showing me:
“Daughter, I’m not just working on what you’re praying about. I’m working on YOU.”
Whew. ❤️🩹 😳
LET GOD PROCESS YOU.😭
And whatever you do, DON’T GET IN HIS WAY. 😳 (remove your hands 🙌🏽)
Don’t rush back into something just because being separated from it hurts.
Don’t ignore what God exposed because you miss what used to be.
Don’t confuse forgiveness with permission to continue unhealthy patterns.
Don’t keep sacrificing your peace just to say you kept something together.
Don’t call yourself rejected because God has you hidden.
And don’t force restoration where God is requiring repentance, accountability, truth, consistency and change.
I’ve learned that you can love somebody and still require boundaries.
You can forgive and still require accountability.
You can pray for restoration and still refuse to return to dysfunction.
You can believe God can restore a marriage while understanding that biblical restoration requires more than words—it requires fruit.
And sometimes God has to quiet everything around you so you can finally hear what He’s saying inside of you.
There are pieces of me that need rebuilding too.
God had to remind me who I was outside of being a wife.
Outside of disappointment.
Outside of betrayal.
Outside of what somebody else chose to do.
Outside of trying to hold everything and everybody together.
I am still HIS DAUGHTER.
I am still CALLED.
I am still CHOSEN.
I am still WORTHY.
I am still HIS MASTERPIECE.
I am still PURPOSED.
And I am still becoming the woman God created me to be.
That’s why my prayer has changed.
I’m not just asking God to restore what’s around me.
I’m asking Him to restore what’s within me. ❤️🩹
Lord, PROCESS ME YOUR WAY.
If You need to hide me—hide me.
If You need to heal me—heal me.
If You need to correct me—correct me.
If You need to expose something—expose it.
If You need to disconnect me from something unhealthy—disconnect me.
If You need to teach me boundaries—teach me.
If You need to rebuild my confidence—rebuild it.
If You need to make me sit still long enough to hear You clearly—I’ll sit.
If restoration is Your will—restore it Your way, not mine.
Because I’ve learned:
THE PROCESS ISN’T PUNISHMENT.
Sometimes the process is PROTECTION.
Sometimes the separation is CLARITY.
Sometimes the silence is STRATEGY.
Sometimes the waiting is DEVELOPMENT.
And sometimes God hides you because He refuses to present you again while you’re still bleeding from what wounded you.
❤️🩹 HEAL FIRST.
Because I don’t want my wounds making decisions for me.
I don’t want loneliness choosing for me.
I don’t want fear choosing for me.
I don’t want familiarity choosing for me.
I don’t want betrayal turning me bitter.
And I don’t want what happened to me to become my identity.
I want GOD choosing for me.
So, Lord…
Don’t just change my situation.
CHANGE MY POSTURE.
Don’t just restore my relationship.
RESTORE ME.
Don’t just give me answers.
GIVE ME DISCERNMENT.
Don’t just bring me through it.
MAKE ME BETTER BECAUSE I WENT THROUGH IT.
I’ve spent enough time asking, “God, when are You going to change this?”
Now I’m asking:
“God, what are You trying to change in ME through this?”
That’s maturity.
That’s healing.
That’s restoration.
That’s the process.
So today my prayer is:
LORD, HIDE ME UNTIL YOU HEAL ME.
Hide me from distractions.
Hide me from counterfeit connections.
Hide me from decisions made out of loneliness.
Hide me from returning to places You delivered my mind from.
Hide me from anything that would interrupt what You’re rebuilding inside of me.
And when the healing is complete…
PRESENT THE WOMAN YOU PROCESSED.
Not the woman who was betrayed.
Not the woman who was broken.
Not the woman trying to prove she was enough.
But the woman who knows who she is, knows Whose she is, walks in discernment, protects her peace, honors her boundaries and still has enough faith to believe that GOD RESTORES.
I don’t have to rush this season.
I’d rather arrive HEALED than arrive early.
I’d rather be WHOLE than simply be wanted.
I’d rather have GOD’S WILL than force my own.
And if God chooses restoration, I want to enter it healed enough to build something NEW—not simply return to what was broken.
❤️🩹 HIDE ME.
HEAL ME.
PROCESS ME.
RESTORE ME.
PREPARE ME.
THEN PRESENT ME.
Because this woman isn’t just coming out of something…
SHE’S BECOMING SOMETHING.
