The Piney Wood Model A Ford Club of Northwest Houston, Texas (PWA) is a non-profit corporation of Texas and is a chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA), a national historical society dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the Model A Ford automobile as manufactured from 1928 through 1931. Membership in this national organization is a prerequisite for membership in The Piney
Wood Model A Ford Club. The club serves as a medium for exchange of ideas, information and parts for admirers of the Model A Ford automobile. It also aids members in their efforts to preserve the automobile in its original likeness. PWA is a family orientated organization which encourages full family participation in all of our events and activities. Annual membership dues entitle you to participate in all club activities. We plan at least one tour each month, including three major tours extending over a weekend, include The Texas Tour, the Gulf Coast Tour and the Poor Boy Tour. PWA publishes an award winning monthly newsletter, The Ford Squeaks, that is distributed to all club members and also to the newsletter editors of various other Model A Ford Clubs. On odd numbered months, we meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at Valley Ranch Grill and Barbeque at the southeast corner of SH 249 (Tomball Parkway) and Spring Cypress Road. Arrive early and enjoy an excellent Barbeque dinner and great fellowship. On even numbered months we have an offsite meeting at the home of one of our members. The meeting starts at 10:00 and follows our monthly 8:00 breakfast. Check our website for the location of the monthly breakfast and off-site meeting. Our December meeting takes place during our annual Christmas Party, date and location announced each year.
