This Memorial Day weekend the Tomahawk Area Historical Society remembers and honors those servicemen and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom. The Military Room in the Kindergarten Building museum pays homage to those from our city who died in service or were killed in action. The Tomahawk Historical Society extends our congratulations to all of the seniors graduating from Tomahawk High School. We also give a big thank you to the seniors who gave their time to work at our campus. Specifically, the Seniors moved many items from the current library locker to our new library locker. Raked, vacuumed, picked weeds, changed light bulbs, dug up grass covering the sidewalk, and edged our front sidewalk . They worked so hard and were friendly, polite and a pleasure to be with. Thank you to the Tomahawk School District for sharing these Seniors with us. They set such a good example for all of us to follow.

Just a reminder that the Tomahawk Area Historical Society will be holding a brat fry tomorrow ( Friday, May 22 ) and Saturday ( 5/23 ) at the Trig's brat hut from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The brat hut is located just outside of the store. Come and stop by for a brat, hot dog, or burger. We would love to see you, feed you, and talk to you. All funds raised are used for the on-going maintenance of our museum complex or to help fund displays in the museum.

We will be holding our first brat fry of the season at the Trig's brat hut. Come stop by for a perfectly grilled brat, hot dog, or burger on Friday, May, 22 and Saturday May, 23 from 10am - 2pm. All funds we raise are used for required maintenance and expenses.

The Tomahawk Area Historical Society will open the museum doors for three different family reunions this summer. If you might be interested in holding a reunion or other event at the museum please contact us to answer any questions or schedule your event. We do not charge any fees but a donation would be appreciated.
