Interstate Flyers Tomah RC club The Interstate Flyers is a Radio Control airplane club which is part of the larger Academy of Model Aeronautics.

The club has a new flying field located East of Warrens on County EW which is currently under construction. The club meets monthly on the first Saturday of the month @ 8 AM. Location is normally at the flying field during the summer months unless we have bad weather. Bad weather or winter months the meeting will be a Dino's Diner in Tomah. Always check the meeting announcements in case of a locati

on change. As we get the new flying site operational here are some ground rules for flying at the site:
1) FAA registration is required ($5 one time right now)
2) Academy of Model Aviation membership is required (Price varies by age). This is required as it provides insurance to you in the event something goes wrong while flying. http://www.modelaircraft.org
3) Membership in the Interstate Flyers club is required or you must be a guest of the flying club. If you are interested in learning to Fly RC airplanes let us know, we have people and devices that will take some of the risk of crashing out of the learning process. Statistics show that many people buy RC airplanes but in trying to learn on their own they destroy their airplane and then give up. Let us help, it's a fun hobby once you get started.
