He is in Tijuana and was formerly on the streets wandering hoping for help. Ignori… elaine seamans needs your support for He needs Help with his Medical Costs

10/13/26 Furs are growing "faster than Dr. Paulina's plants!" In a few days Prof. Edgar will have his bloodwork repeated and we shall see how his tick diseases are doing. Hoping they are the reason for his anemia and liver and kidney numbers being off.

His x-rays show normal compression in his lower back for a sausage type dog (although he's got longer legs than a true blue we**ie dog).

10/5/26 He's wagging his tail! Prof. Edgar has light and happiness in his eyes and getting ready to party as soon as his furs start sprouting now that his leathery coat is softening with medicated baths. It's only taken 4 days!

10/1/26 It’s hard to not care when seeing a treasure like him having no fur and no to so many other things that creates comfort and happiness.

Today is his first day of his new life where his shoulders can soften from the emotional weight he has been carrying. He gets to start to feel his soul feel good things that feels like glittery gold and cashmere and things that can’t even be described. Describe hope. Describe trust. Describe love. Describe no fear. How will his tail feel to move side to side, powered by his heart? Are his fur seeds wiggling in hopes of sprouting through his leathery jacket that keeps those sprouts underneath? Soon that coat will be soft, dreamily beautiful with golden furs peeking through. Hello world! We are beautiful!

Like making a scrumptious cake, he is worth the wait, the love poured in and the time. Will he be an angel food cake, a spice cake or red velvet cake?? All are delicious. He is delicious ✨🌭✨

What we know now is that he has two tick diseases and that he has an absolutely horrendous ear infection. Bloodwork is being done, and because we were told he was hit by a car recently, as in the other day and because of his age x-rays are going to be taken.

Prof. Edgar is humbly so grateful for his new friend, Neal Polister who has donated to his medical care and for bestowing his new name upon him: Prof. Edgar. He hasn’t felt like he has belonged for so long. It's such a nice beautiful feeling for him to curl up in.

Giant thank you to his first buddy, Michelle Espino and her hubby who advocated for him and went to get him. Thank to their friend who contacted her about Prof. Edgar. Thank you to and the team at for being on standby and are helping him. and . At the moment he is hospitalized.

Dogs are not just 'dogs'. They are therapists, teachers disguised. They are Professors of Love.

The word, "tattered" is an appropriate description. "Lucky now" is also an appropriate description for this 8 yr old gentleman who has been through a LOT. Prof. Lyle is his name.

10/12/26 Hoping to have blinders on and not see any more dogs needing help, well, that idea didn't work out. Saving this treasure was in her future when she noticed red. Red on a dog that should NOT have red.

That red was a result of an attack that I won't go into, but it was witnessed and our new Professors is dang lucky now that Travi Esa's blinders didn't work.

Saving Prof. Lyle was the priority and figuring the rest out, like how to pay for it, would come later. He could not wait.

With some challenges for quality care, Prof. Lyle is now at our vet where he is getting that quality care. He can now lay down, which was barely possible before - he had to do it like how a horse or cow lays down using their front legs first. Now, on pain meds, he can also walk a little.

When Travi gave him some love, he rested his head down into her hand. He knows he is safe. NO ONE will EVER hurt him again!

We learned that this sweet boy had been abandoned and on his own for AT LEAST A YEAR!

Prof. Lyle has been hospitalized and his wounds have been cleaned and wrapped. He's on fluids, antibiotics and glorious painkillers. Bloodwork tomorrow and possibly surgery for the necrotic skin. His front leg is the most painful and he also has another injury to his rear leg. Saving them is the goal and giant hope.

He has possible melanoma, but right now that's not the most pressing concern.

His teeth are worn down with the good news that he does have them. Not removed like what happens to many bait dogs.

His personality? SWEET! Join his team and be his new pal!

Big THANK YOU to Jeri O'Donnell for donating and becoming his Naming Angel! Lyle wags his tail about his new name for his new life!
