Several Block Watches in Tolleson (including our own!) are coming together to host a winter holiday block party tomorrow evening (December 13th 5pm-9pm) at Country Place Leadership Academy (10207 Country Place Blvd Tolleson 85353). We are trying to bring our community members together to get to know each other and enjoy some free activities. The flyer is pictured and attached here: Winter Bazaar. We hope to see you there!

Click below to read the chart regarding which fireworks are considered legal as well as important safety information pertaining to each novelty. Basically, fireworks that are airborne (bottle rockets) or explosive (firecrackers) are prohibited (to use, not necessarily purchase) in the City of Phoenix. [ 31 more words ]

We have a Phoenix Neighborhood Patrol (PNP), but it hasn't been very active in the past couple years. On Tuesday, August 15th, between the hours of 9:45-10:45am, a home in our community near 89th Ave. and Hess St. was burglarized. The police were contacted, and a report was filed. The police believe that the suspect arrived on the bicycle (pictured), and was interrupted during the burglary when the resident arrived home, so he fled over the back wall without the bicycle onto Durango St. [ 71 more words ]

Two nights ago, the evening of July 8th, between the hours of midnight and 7am, a vehicle near 88th Ave. and Hilton was broken into. If you can recall any suspicious individuals in this area two nights ago, or if a nearby home has surveillance footage, please report this to the police at Crime Stop: 602-262-6151. The Phoenix Police Department has launched a "Virtual Bock Watch", whereby residents can register their surveillance cameras with the Phoenix Police Department. If a crime occurs nearby, the police can contact you and request your surveillance footage. Perhaps your cameras caught the suspect, or their vehicle.
