🖤✂️ WE DON’T START IN THE RED
WE START IN THE BLACK!

At the Toledo African-American Chamber of Commerce even our ribbon cuttings have PURPOSE!

Our Chamber President
LeSean Shaw shares the meaning behind cutting a BLACK ribbon instead of the traditional red.

📉 In business, being in the RED represents a loss.

📈 Being in the BLACK represents profitability and financial success!

We believe every entrepreneur deserves to start their journey with a positive mindset, a strong foundation, and a community committed to seeing them WIN!

Congratulations to another new business owner taking the next step toward building their legacy! 🎉

We’re not just cutting ribbons. We’re opening doors, building businesses, and creating opportunities for generational wealth.

🖤 Grow with us. Connect with us. Join the Chamber!

Every story has layers. And behind every storyteller is a story that most people never get to hear.

Join us at Toledo’s Share for an intimate afternoon with Sheila Howard, one of Toledo’s most beloved and gifted storytellers. Known for her powerful, graceful, and deeply human approach to journalism, SheJag has spent her career shining a light on the untold stories of our city, the easy ones and the hard ones, always with elegance, always with care, and always with an unwavering commitment to the people behind the headlines.

But today, she is not the one asking the questions.

Today, Sheila brings her own story into the room. A story of resilience, of purpose, of health, of grace. And in doing so, she invites us to reflect on something profound: our stories do not belong to us alone. Whether we know it or not, our journey is woven into the fabric of countless other lives. The people who shaped us. The people we have shaped. The lives that have changed because of a word spoken, a story told, a moment shared.

This is what Women, W**e, and the Room is all about. Coming together to recognize that behind every woman in this room is a story, and behind that story are the stories of so many others.

Admission: FREE
Doors open at 12:45pm. Program begins at 1:00pm sharp.
