Our vision is for every person with an abortion experience to receive healing and walk in personal restoration.

We do this through monthly support groups, grief and loss coaching, and specialized bible studies.

Here at the Haven, we walk with women who are just beginning to make sense of what happened as well as women who have lived with their stories for many years. While some have never spoken about their abortion, others have shared their stories, but still have questions or emotions they don’t quite understand.
We meet with women wherever they are in their story. We are here to listen and provide a space where everyone can be seen and heard.
If you or someone you know has experienced an abortion and would like a safe person to talk with, we are here. You can share at your own pace and be yourself.

This is a photo of “Myrtle” from our weekend retreat this last weekend. She knew she wanted to let go of some anger before dawn on this particular day and this is the sunset God gave her. Letting go gave her God’s rest. God doesn’t just lead us toward rest but our rest is found in Him.❤️

This month at support group, we’re talking about rest.

Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Some things make us tired in ways sleep can’t fix. Tonight, we’ll talk about what it means to bring the things that have weighed on us to Jesus and learn what His rest can look like in the middle of healing.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you come. There’s a place for you here.

Shame often makes us hide, isolate, stay silent, avoid being fully known, and believe we’re unworthy of love or belonging. It can convince us that if people really knew us, they would see us differently.
This verse tells us differently. While shame lowers our face, God invites us to look up, to look torward Him. When we do this, shame no longer gets to tell us who we are. Only God does, beloved one ❤️

The Haven will be closed next week while we connect with other pregnancy center and after-abortion ministry leaders from across the country at this year’s CareNet conference in Texas. We’re excited to learn from others and share some of what we’ve learned through our work at The Haven.
Our phone lines will remain open during this time, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need support.
Please keep our team in prayer as we travel, learn, and share. We’ll be back in the office on Monday August 24th.

Healing takes time, and that’s ok. Sometimes we can try to rush the process, or wonder why certain memories still come back, or why we find ourselves returning to the same places in our story.
But God isn’t waiting for us on the other side of healing.
He’s with us right now- in the questions, the tears…all of it.
The God who heals is the God who waits with us.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18
