The Padua Center is seeking a Director of Summer Camps. The Director is primarily responsible for the overall development of and implementation of the Padua Summer Programs. The general outline of the six weeks of camp is awaiting a creative director to complete the plans. The director will supervise the various volunteers, work with the Padua Staff in arranging particulars of the camps and executing a successful Summer Recreation and Learning experience for 25 to 30 elementary school age youth. This is a seven - week summer employment at 35 hours a week. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor degree and some educational experience. The Padua Center is an EOE. Junction Ave between Nebraska and Tecumseh will be blocked off for food trucks. 419 Junction Park and Ujima Park (519 Junction) will be used for vendors, community vendors, kid's games, bouncy house and live entertainment.

What a BLESSING! The Toledo Buffalo Soldiers and their sponsors blessed the 25 children of the Padua Center After-School Tutoring Program with Christmas presents for their Christmas Party. THANK YOU TOLEDO BUFFALO SOLDIERS!!

Pat and Elaine won the silent bid on the Christmas Dinner at our "Peaces" of Art silent auction back in October., Last Friday they and some of their board members joined the Director, staff, and volunteers of the Padua Center for the Christmas dinner. Four of our young ladies from the "Becoming Young Ladies" group served the Christmas meal. It was a wonderful time with fun conversation and a joyful atmosphere.

The girls of the Becoming Young Ladies mentoring program have been working very hard during sessions and were rewarded with lip gloss from a friend of the program.
