During the 1983 FLOC march, a key symbolic moment occurred at a Catholic mass in Camden, where fifteen priests washed the feet of the farmworkers. This act directly echoed Maundy Thursday, the Christian observance commemorating Jesus washing his disciples’ feet as a sign of humility, service, and solidarity with the marginalized. By reenacting this ritual, the priests publicly affirmed the dignity of the farmworkers and framed their labor struggle as a moral and spiritual issue. The foot washing linked religious faith with social justice, reinforcing the call for compassion and responsibility toward the workers’ demands for fair treatment.

At FLOC, love is more than kindness—it is courage in action. It is the strength to claim belonging, the confidence to share our stories, and the resolve to build a community where everyone is seen, respected, and valued. Every day, we witness what’s possible when people stand in their dignity and support one another.

We believe in the strength of friends, family, and neighbors who show up for one another. In the truth that our stories matter, our voices matter, and our futures are worth defending. Every day, our community proves that resilience is radical—and solidarity changes what’s possible.

To everyone who marches, supports, advocates, gives, listens, and leads: this movement exists because of you. Together, we are building a future grounded in justice, courage, and collective care.

Today, we choose love that resists.
Love that protects.
Love that demands better—and builds it together.

Quietly moving behind the scenes this winter. Laying the groundwork for a season of uncertainty for those we work for. We have hope for the future and hope for peace. We will never stop fighting for justice! For the rights of marginalized people! Due process for all! Justice for those who unjustly died because if ICE's horrific and untrained tactics. This song was written to honor the most recent death, Alex Pretti.

A message from our President, "Let us honor those victims who stood with us and that their deaths awaken those yet asleep as to what is happening in our country. I wept through this entire song. None of us live forever so let our lives stand and speak for those things that have eternal value like loving those that do not look like us, that don't speak like us, that come from different cultures and the right to live and work with dignity and respect."
