The STC Recreational Program was originated in 1976. It is a nonprofit organization and is supported by the taxpayers of Tama and Toledo. STC REC is available to all youth in grades K-8 within the STC School District. The REC program strives to improve program availability, facilities, and equipment. Some past improvements include: adding a batting cage, scoreboards, and fencing improvements. STC

REC is managed by a board of seven members who meet regularly. Generally, the STC REC Board meets at 6pm on the first Sunday of every month at the State Bank of Toledo Community Room or the Tama Civic Center; however, for some preparation months members are required to meet more frequently. The STC REC Board is a volunteer position. If a person is interested in becoming a board member, contact a board member or the board president.

It's almost summer time, that means that registration is now open for our summer programs!! Golf, soccer, tennis, & volleyball.
New this summer- basketball for grades 5th-8th.

PeeWee & Minor Baseball & Softball Practices will start next week!

Tball (Grades Kinder & 1st) practices will NOT start until the week of April 20th, so you probably haven't received an email yet.

Monday April 6th- Boys Baseball (Grades 2-6) will start. They practice & have games on Monday & Wednesday evenings through the 1st week in July.

Tuesday April 7th- Girls Softball (Grades 2-6) will start. They practice & have games on Tuesday & Thursday evenings through the 1st week in July.

Game schedules will not be released until Monday April 13th.

Players need a glove & cleats, their own individual helmet is recommended. All teams have bats & catching gear.

If you signed up. you should have heard from your coach via email or text message for times and locations of practices next week. Please reach out to us if you didn't get a message from your child's coach or have additional questions.

Attention K-6th Families!
It's time to register for the upcoming baseball & softball seasons.
You have 2 options for registration: online or fill out the paper form and return to the Elementary or Middle School offices.
Practices will begin in April. Game schedules will be released later after teams have been formed.

Registration closes on Friday March 20th.
Registration for our other summer sports will begin May 1st.
