The STC Recreational Program was originated in 1976. It is a nonprofit organization and is supported by the taxpayers of Tama and Toledo. STC REC is available to all youth in grades K-8 within the STC School District. The REC program strives to improve program availability, facilities, and equipment. Some past improvements include: adding a batting cage, scoreboards, and fencing improvements. STC REC is managed by a board of seven members who meet regularly. Generally, the STC REC Board meets at 6pm on the first Sunday of every month at the State Bank of Toledo Community Room or the Tama Civic Center; however, for some preparation months members are required to meet more frequently. The STC REC Board is a volunteer position. If a person is interested in becoming a board member, contact a board member or the board president.

Basketball Registration Update:

The registration half-sheets for basketball were not distributed to the elementary school and middle school for 1st-6th grade student as planned.

The registration forms will be delivered to each school today and handed out to students tomorrow.

Because of this, we are extending basketball registration through September 30th, 2026.

If your 1st-6th grade girl/boy have not registered for basketball, please watch for the half-sheets to come home tomorrow or Friday.

Thank you for understanding!

Oh to be 7 or 8 years old again! The STC Summer REC Tennis 1st/2nd Grade Students approached each day this summer with excitement, curiosity, and determination! Focusing on footwork, eye-hand coordination, and basic ground strokes helped the students find success on the tennis court. Head Coach Steve Bearden, Assistant Coach Amilia Bullshoe, and Assistant Coach Mady Boriskey led the students in their learning. 🎾
