UToledo v Miami

The Rockets ended the MAC season with a 68-58 loss to the Redhawks in the MAC Championship Game today. The Rockets battled back from a deficit in the first half, but ran out of time to catch the Redhawks. Patricia Anumgba led the Rockets with 22 points and Ella Weaver had 10. Pat was selected to the MAC All Tournament Team in recognition of her outstanding performance throughout the tournament.

There was so much to be proud of in this post-season run. These young ladies brought out a lot of emotion this season and worked extremely hard to get to the MAC championship game. The future is bright.

UToledo v Ball State

The Rockets stunned the Cardinals in a 69-65 finish at Rocket Arena today. Patricia Anumgba led the Rockets with 29 points, Ella Weaver had 14 and Kendall Carruthers added 12. This was an amazing, hard-fought, team effort that earned the Rockets a spot in the MAC Championship game at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow against Miami University. Take the short trip to Cleveland to support our team. Go Rockets 🚀 🏀

MAC Championship Quarterfinals
UToledo v UMass

The Rockets prevailed at Rocket Arena in the MAC quarterfinals in Cleveland defeating the Minutewomen 67-56. Patricia Anumgba led the scoring with a double-double 19 points and 12 rebounds. Kendall Carruthers and Ella Weaver each had 16 points with Miriam Diala adding 10.

On Friday, the Rockets will face the Ball State Cardinals in the MAC semifinals. Hope to see YOU at the game! Go Rockets 🚀 🏀

UToledo v Ball State

In the last game of the regular season the Cardinals defeated the Rockets 78-71. The Rockets staged a comeback in the 4th quarter, but ran out of time. Patricia Anumgba led the scoring with 24 points, Ella Weaver had a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, Kendall Carruthers scored 13 points.

Before the game, Patricia Anumgba was honored as part of our Senior Day recognition. She has been a valuable contributor in her time at UToledo. We will miss her and wish her all the best.

During one of the timeouts, the Igniters presented a check for $20,000 to Bryan B. Blair in support of the Women’s Basketball Program.

The MAC championship games commence on Wednesday, March 11. Hope to see you in Cleveland. Go Rockets 🚀 🏀
