Today is the first day of ⁠ ⁠ - a week long African-American and Pan African holiday that celebrates family, community, and culture.

Each day of Kwanzaa focuses on one of seven principles, called the Nguzo Saba. The greeting for each day of Kwanzaa is ‘Habari Gani,’ which means ‘what’s the news?’ The response is the principle for that day (listed below).

Each day of Kwanzaa, we’ll highlight a book that focuses on the principle of the day. Follow us here for daily posts to join the celebration!

✨ What an AMAZING day at the Black College Expo in Detroit, MI! ✨

Our students showed up and showed out—many left with college acceptance letters right in hand, and a few even secured **full-ride scholarships** 🎉🎓🙌. Moments like these remind us exactly *why we do this work*!

Huge shoutout to **Tionna Sutton-Overton** with **O2 Dream and H.O.M.E.** for sponsoring our transportation to get there.
Thank you to Christopher Scott for chaperoning and pouring encouragement into our students.
And much love to Pascha Windham Jackson TABSE Board Member, for being right there with us every step of the way.
We even had Montrice HereMe Terry come through and support and uplift as he always does.

🍴 Our students were also blessed with lunch, thanks to our state affiliate **OABSE**.
