Point Place is going for a record.

On June 11, we are gathering at Friendship Park to decorate and fly as many kites as we can — all at once. Kites are provided. Decorating supplies are provided. All you need to bring is a kid and some enthusiasm.

Let's Go Fly a Kite is free and open to the community, presented by the Point Place Area Art Committee in partnership with the City of Toledo

June 11 | Friendship Park | 5:30 PM Free. All ages. No registration needed.

Something exciting is coming to Friendship Park this summer and fall.
We are bringing a series of free hands-on art workshops to kids right here in the neighborhood. Kite building, abstract painting, fiber arts, giant Halloween puppets, holiday cards, and more.
All workshops are free. All ages welcome. All you need to bring is a kid who wants to make something.
Details and dates coming soon. Stay tuned.

Our community is FULL of teaching artists willing to share their talent.

Something shifts when people gather to make art together. Through the Point Place Area Art Committee, that's exactly what we do: bring neighbors side by side with a brush or a pencil and let the afternoon surprise them. No experience needed. No pressure. Just people making things together in the same room, which turns out to be exactly what a neighborhood needs. Keep an eye out for our spring and summer events and come find us. We'd love to see you there.

Puppet making has commenced. Let us know if you are interested in being part of the process of making the giant puppets you've seen in our parade and at Halloween. Respond ME in the comments and we'll let you know details!
