Thank you to everyone who joined us for Pursuing Inspiration 2026. We’re especially grateful to keynote speaker Nicole Herrera for sharing an inspiring message, and to event chairs Elizabeth Foley and Marci Bennitt for helping bring such a special event to life.

A huge thank you also goes to our Women’s Initiative Board members, volunteers, sponsors and raffle contributors. Your support throughout this milestone year helped make it all possible.

Last week, we hosted our first-ever Circle of Empowerment. 💙

This was a space for Women's Initiative members to connect and speak freely and openly with one another. We are grateful to the members who shared their expertise and lived experience to inform, encourage, and validate everyone in the room. Thank you to:

Angie Nowak
Paula Birney
Lauren Myers
Rachel Meyers
Genevieve Rasik

Special thanks to membership chair Amanda Brown for hosting us!

Women's Initiative members hold powerful positions across our community, and we are proud to have created a space where we can learn from one another.

More gatherings like this are on the way. If you don't want to miss the next one, consider becoming a member today!

Pursuing Inspiration is less than two weeks away, and we would love to see you there! 💙

Every year, we bring women together for an inspiring luncheon. We laugh, we learn, and a few lucky guests go home with a beautiful purse and other fun prizes.

Most importantly, every ticket sold raises critical dollars for our partner FCAPC, which provides life-changing support to women and children who have experienced abuse.

Tickets are still available. Get yours today and be part of something great!

Last week, we came together to celebrate 25 years of Women's Initiative. 💙

We were so proud to honor our founding members, past board members, and the hundreds of women whose generosity has made real change possible:

$2 million invested in programs supporting women and children
Social-emotional learning curriculum created for local students
Free books delivered to children through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
Countless memories and friendships built along the way

Thank you to everyone who made the evening possible. It was a special moment for all of us.

While last week honored the past 25 years, we are already inspired to make the next 25 even better. If you are a woman looking to make a philanthropic impact in our community while building lifelong friendships, we would love to have you.

We are mourning the loss of an icon. 💙

Gloria Steinem spent more than six decades fighting for a world where women could define their own lives.

We are grateful that she was part of our 25 years of impact. In 2008, she was the keynote speaker for what remains one of the largest events in our history.

Standing at our podium, she reminded a room full of women that change does not come from waiting. It comes from organizing, from showing up, and from refusing to accept things as they are.

Thank you, Gloria. Your legacy will continue on through the millions of women you have empowered.

Kimberly Danes saw something 25 years ago that changed our community: the power of women coming together to lift up other women and children. 💛

In two weeks, we are celebrating her and every woman who has shaped Women's Initiative into what it is today. We would love to have you in the room with us!
