Across Northwest Ohio, local non-profits are working hard every single day to lift up families and tackle complex challenges. We are thrilled to celebrate the 78 community organizations named as our 2026 Growth & Resilience partners!

These one-year grants provide just over $2 million in vital funding to support everyday program expenses, core operations, and the critical equipment needs that keep these organizations running strong.

Stronger organizations build stronger neighborhoods. We believe that for a nonprofit to serve its community well, the work happening "behind the scenes" is essential.

Take the Islamic Food Bank of Toledo. When demand for their services tripled, we provided a grant in 2024 to help them scale by building a three-year roadmap for sustainable growth and enabling the hiring of a warehouse associate so leadership could focus on long-term community impact.

As Dr. M. Razi Rafeeq shared: "It’s more than just funding; it’s about forging connections."

Our new 2026 Capacity Building grant cycle opens June 29. These grants help small to mid-size Northwest Ohio organizations strengthen internal capacity—from tech upgrades to professional development—so you can focus on your mission.

"They told us the library was a safe space, that's why we do this." ❤️

The team at Parker Public Library remind us why rural libraries are the heart of our communities. While many see a place for books, the team there is intentionally building a culture of belonging where everyone is welcome.

We believe literacy and education are pathways to opportunity, but that journey starts with having a space where you feel safe to learn. We are grateful to support the Parker Public team as they continue to show up for their neighbors every day.

We’ve spent the last year supporting our community partners do what they do best: providing a stable place to call home, ensuring neighbors have the food they need to thrive, empowering a student to take their academics to the next level, and helping a child discover a new world through a library book.

Our new Impact Report is a celebration of those moments and the organizations that made them happen. We are so proud to be a small part of the story.

We spent a great day in the Old South End helping our partners document neighborhood conditions. This inventory is a huge step toward creating more homeownership opportunities and long-term stability for local families through critical home repairs, new construction, and developer gap funding.

It was a privilege to stand with the Old South End Partnership yesterday, marking the start of a new housing pilot!

This focused pilot is about learning how organizations like Historic South Initiative, Lucas County Land Bank, Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity, LadderUp Housing, and LISC Toledo can better coordinate their work for and with residents—bolstered by the expertise of Sofia Quintero Art & Cultural Center and The Fair Housing Center.

We are honored to provide initial support alongside The Stranahan Supporting Organization of the Greater Toledo Community Foundation. Together, we’re proud to back this team as they build the groundwork for a more connected approach to housing in the Old South End. 🏠
