Congratulations to Avenues for Autism, one of the nine grant recipients from the 2025 Principle Business Fund!

Avenues for Autism serves individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. Many individuals they serve face barriers related to youth education, poverty, access to services and opportunities for personal development. Their Autism Counseling Program provides evidence-based virtual counseling that strengthens emotional regulation, communication and daily living skills. Additionally, their program directly supports families through coaching and intergenerational learning, empowering caregivers with strategies that reduce stress, improve family functioning and create more equitable access to care.

Funds awarded to Avenues for Autism will be used to support technology, supplies and equipment for their autism counseling program, group therapy sessions and tools for individualized sessions focused on teaching life skills and fostering independence as part of an extended learning opportunity throughout the summer.

We wrapped up Autism Acceptance Month with our Suzanne Tyner Autism Assistance Fund Luncheon. It was a truly special afternoon filled with reflection and hope. Autism Acceptance Month continued with a fun filled weekend volunteering at the Glass City Marathon 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

A special shout out to our board members, Adrianne Milano and Tom Daniels, who UDDERLY amazed us by running in the 5k in blow-up cow suits, while raising an incredible $3,035 in support of our mission 🐄💙

We’re also so grateful for our amazing volunteers who helped make the weekend run smoothly. Thank you for your time, energy and dedication!

April was a meaningful month as we celebrated Autism Acceptance Month in our community 💙 Kicking things off, we had an incredible time at Walleye Night Out! We enjoyed a fun evening with self advocates, board members, Avenues Team, friends and family. Thank you to the Toledo Walleye Association for providing complimentary tickets!
