Meet Jūpmode’s Community Shirt partner for the month of May!

The mission of First Tee Toledo is to positively impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

After more than 15 years, First Tee has built a strong presence in urban and rural surrounding areas of Toledo, OH. They are currently serving Lucas, Wood, Defiance, Henry, Hancock, Ottawa, Erie, and Monroe counties in SE Michigan and NW Ohio.

First Tee enable kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with life skills curriculum, they create learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids carry to everything they do.

From the sale of each Community Shirt during the month of May, $5 will go to First Tee Toledo to support their mission.

Some of our Girls Golf participants spent Saturday planting flowers in our raised garden beds behind the building. They are looking forward to helping them grow all summer and then take them home to their families this fall! Thank You Coach Beth for guiding them through the rain Saturday afternoon!

Please join us in welcoming Ryan Short to our grounds team here at First Tee! Ryan was born and raised in Sandusky Ohio, and now lives right around the corner from First Tee with his family! He works as a supervisor at Sun Chemical in Maumee, and is excited to spend 15-20 hours a week here at First Tee ensuring our grounds are well kept for the kids!!
He is excited to be outside and around golf again, which is a huge passion of his. He hopes to get his 8 year old son and 14 year old daughter involved with First Tee as well! If you see Ryan on site, please say hello and introduce yourself!

We had a blast hosting the Toledo Public Schools “SMARTS” program today! Over 100 TPS students comprised of every high school joined us here at First Tee for a day of learning and fun. Students rotated through 6 stations that included art projects and golf games. Many of the students had never touched a club before and did amazing!

Last night we were able to surprise Sydney Socha during our Girls Golf class with the news that she has been selected for the National First Tee College Scholarship Program!

The First Tee College Scholarship program awards approximately 20-30 participants from all over the country who excel in academics, leadership, character development, and chapter and community involvement. Participants selected are awarded a $20,000 scholarship, mentoring throughout the college experience, professional development workshops and assistance in securing internships and jobs through the First Tee College Scholarship Program.

Congratulations Sydney, we are so happy you were able to celebrate last night with so many other First Tee participants and friends!

As the weather slowly morphs into golfing weather, please come dial in your game at First Tee!!! ⛳️⛳️⛳️

Reminder - our state of the art practice facilities are open to the public! Simply walk around the back of the building at 4700 Hill Avenue to access our ball machine. When you purchase a bucket of balls, you may also utilize our AMAZING short game area as well! We ask that you please use your own balls at the short game area.

Hours of Operation:

Monday | 2pm – 9pm *Range is mowed every Monday morning

Tuesday | 8am – 9pm

Wednesday | 10am – 9pm

Thursday | 8am – 9pm

Friday | 10am – 9pm

Saturday | 8am – 9pm

Sunday | 8am – 9pm

When kids are on site for programs we will clearly indicated the restricted areas for public use. We appreciate you respecting the facilities, and respecting the fact that this space was created for kids!! Come work on your game while supporting our important youth programs at the same time!
