Service, compassion and hope can create a lasting impact. ❤️

For Leading Families Home employee Carlene Dale, giving back to families in Jamaica is a personal mission rooted in her family’s legacy of caring for others. Following the devastation of Hurricane Melissa, Carlene has made multiple trips to deliver essential supplies, including book bags and items for children and families, while carrying forward her late mother’s spirit of service.

As Carlene shares, “My greatest victory is turning my struggles into a purpose, using what I have learned to give hope, create opportunities and remind others that they, too, can rise above adversity.”

We’re proud of Carlene and the meaningful difference she continues to make for families both here at home and in Jamaica.

🎃 Help make our Halloween Bash a spooktacular evening!

Leading Families Home is looking for individuals, groups and local businesses to help make the Halloween Bash at Family House a fun and memorable experience for children and families.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with games, crafts, room-to-room trick-or-treating and other activities. We’re also accepting donations of candy, pre-made cookies, hot dogs and chips.

The Halloween Bash will be held Thursday, Oct. 22, from 4-6:30 p.m. at Family House, 669 Indiana Ave.

A huge thank-you to the ladies group from Aldersgate United Methodist Church for donating a set of handmade co****le boards to Leading Families Home! The boards were crafted by David Atkinson and are sure to bring plenty of fun to our community.

This wonderful group has been supporting LFH since the beginning of the year, and we’re so grateful for the continued support, generosity and friendship. 🏡

We’re so grateful to the MITER Foundation for hosting a wonderful golf outing this past August, with proceeds benefiting Leading Families Home and the families we serve.

The need is growing. Across Northwest Ohio, families are facing rising costs, fewer resources and an increasingly difficult path to stability. As social services are stretched thin, more families are finding themselves at risk of homelessness, and those who are already experiencing homelessness are facing longer waits for support.

At Leading Families Home, we see this need every day. We believe every family deserves the opportunity to find safety, stability and a place to call home.
