With heavy hearts, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Nacole Bartolet. It was a privilege to know Nacole and to be a small part of her recovery journey. We are grateful to her family for sharing her inspiring story, and to Steve Iwanek (News by Steve) and WTOL 11 for shining a light on Nacole's resilience and the importance of support for brain injury survivors. Nacole's courage, determination, and spirit will never be forgotten.

Nacole Bartolet survived a traumatic brain injury and found support at Toledo’s TBI Resource Center. After her death, the center is fighting to stay open.

💙 A Message from the Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center 💙

We have some important news to share with our community of TBI survivors, caregivers, family members, friends, volunteers, donors, and supporters who have helped make TBIRC a source of hope, connection, education, and support for so many years.

The building that has been home to the Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center for over a decade has been listed for sale. While we don't yet know what the future holds, we are actively exploring every option to ensure that TBIRC can continue serving traumatic brain injury survivors and their families for years to come.

We're staying hopeful, but preparing for the possibility that we may need to relocate. If that happens, moving expenses, renovations, storage, and other transition costs could create significant financial challenges for our nonprofit. That's why raising additional funds right now is so important.

To help strengthen our future, we're launching an Inventory Reduction Fleece Blanket Sale! 🧸
Not only will you get one of our soft, popular fleece blankets, but every purchase helps build the financial resources we may need to secure a new home and continue providing support, education, advocacy, and hope to the TBI community. As a bonus, we've discounted the blankets so that the more you buy, the more you'll save!

Whether you've been touched by brain injury personally, cared for a loved one, participated in our programs, volunteered your time, or supported our mission through donations and encouragement, now is a great time to show your support.

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to Lissa Guyton 13abc and the team at 13abc for helping bring awareness to our situation and sharing our story with the community. Your coverage helps more people understand the importance of preserving resources for TBI survivors and their families.

The Traumatic Brain Injury Resource Center is more than a building. It's a community. It's friendships. It's encouragement. It's a lifeline for people navigating life after brain injury.
We're hopeful. We're determined. And with your support, we're confident that together we can find a path forward.
