Catholic Club We are passionate about providing low-cost, high quality child care and educational development to the families in northwest Ohio. Ages 6 through 12.

Please note: Covid 19 adjustments have been made to some of our programs. Please check out our website for all details! Early Head Start - Infants & Toddlers up to age three
We pride ourselves with supporting the family and providing a smooth transition between family life and our childcare center, including excellent communication on a daily basis regarding your child’s experiences while in our center. Your child will be assigned personal areas such as his/her own crib, and a drawer or cubbie to store personal items. We follow the feeding schedule recommended by you and provide formula up to the age of 12 months. We provide breakfast, a hot catered lunch and afternoon snack for those infants 12 months and older. Preschool & Head Start Classrooms
Children 3, 4 and 5 years who have not attended kindergarten yet. We believe that each child learns at his/her own pace and our developmentally appropriate curriculum is planned to meet the unique learning style and needs of each child. We pride ourselves with supporting the family and providing a smooth transition between family life and our childcare center, including excellent communication on a daily basis regarding your child’s experiences while in our center. Before and After School, Vacation Day full day care and Summer Camp. Parenting Support Classes
Being a parent is one tough job. In addition to educating children, the Catholic Club is also here to support parents as they face the inevitable challenges of parenting. Catholic Club offers free classes which provide current, reliable and practical information on a wide variety of topics. Swimming Lessons
Each lesson is taught by a qualified swim instructor/lifeguard. Some class levels have prerequisite skills required. An instructor will assist you if you are unsure which level to register your child in. We reserve the right to change your child’s placement after the first class if we determine that he/she is registered into the wrong level. Your child will receive a certificate at the end of each session to advise you of the level that he/she will be in for the next session. Please be aware that most children require many sessions at the same level to learn all skills that it takes to move to the next level of classes. Super Saturday
Children participate in a variety of recreational activities including open swimming in our heated, indoor pool; arts and crafts; gym games; open gym and socialization with their peers. Our building includes a full sized gymnasium, indoor, heated pool, and large activity rooms. In the nice weather, our large fenced playground is also available for the children. More FRIDAY SMILES!

Our Head Start classroom children made delicious apple pies this week! The children helped to add the ingredients by following the recipe. They counted and measured the ingredients, which are teaching them math skills and social skills while having fun! They then waited patiently for our yummy pies to bake! We all enjoyed tasting the pies together. In another activity, the children created fall trees using fruit loops. They counted the loops, sorted them by colors, and then enjoyed that snack as well. Today they focused on raking fall leaves they also did counting and sorting with that activity. The children are really enjoying our tree study!!!!!
These activities demonstrate how young children learn important skills while having fun. Thank you to our dedicated and creative teachers!

FRIDAY SMILES! Young children in our Early Head Start (Infants and Toddlers) classrooms are seen here. They created a fun sensory activity with colored pasta. The children explored their five senses by sorting bright colors, texture, scent , and taste The children also used their fine motor skills to grasp, pull apart and practice cutting skills with child level scissors. As you can see in their expressions -the children were engaged and loved the activities!

The infants were also getting one on one time with stories, songs and belly tickles!

Our Head Start classroom children have been as busy as ever! Teachers Ms. Ronica and Ms. Miriam have been leading their "Tree Study" with the children!

Children learn best with fun and enriching, hands on experiences and these teachers provide day after day of wonderful learning and fun!

They explain:

"Tall and grand, trees help our land."

Our Head Start friends are enjoying our new "Tree Study." We have discussed what grows on trees and which animals live in trees. The children made their own apple trees and they were able to decorate their own apples. They were able to tear up paper (green, yellow, or red) and glue the piece on their apple (fine motor & art). We will be doing some apple tasting and making a homemade pie from scratch.

This week, our classroom transformed into an orchard of discovery as we explored how fruits like apples and lemons grow on trees! For young children, food often seems to simply appear on a grocery shelf or a plate. By tracing fruits back to their natural origins, we are opening up a world of seasonal discovery, environmental awareness, and healthy habits.

You might wonder how learning about tree-grown fruit translates to a child's developmental growth. Every activity we design is intentional, playful, and developmentally appropriate for our children. Here is a look at what we are doing and how it supports every child’s development.

TODAY WE REMEMBER...the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor the courage of the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and all of the civilians, who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the families whose lives were forever changed, the sacrifices made, and the strength of a nation that came together in one of its darkest moments. May we never forget the lives, the bravery, the service, and the unity that defined that day.
