✨ AN EVENING AT THE GOLDEN HOUR GALA ✨

Join us for the 6th Annual Urban Wholistics Golden Hour Gala, an evening celebrating community, agriculture, wellness, partnership, and the people who help our work grow.

The evening will feature a beautifully prepared dinner by Chef Moussa, with entrée choices of Mediterranean Chicken, Lamb Bolognese, or Chianti-Braised Beef Short Ribs.

The evening will also feature live music by John Cunningham & Band, our Growing Community Awards, a special documentary featuring Urban Wholistics’ work, staff, and community partners, silent and live auctions, and our keynote address by Bob Jones Jr. of The Chef's Garden.

VIP guests will begin the evening with a special experience featuring personal charcuterie’s and handcrafted mocktails, followed by an evening of storytelling, celebration, giving, music, and community.

🎨🌿 GOLDEN HOUR: FLAGS OF HOPE 🌿🎨

Every year at our Golden Hour Gala, Raja Aossey-Jensen intentionally create space for families to participate together. This year, our Family Activity Table is centered on something we deeply believe: visual art can be a part of healing.

Throughout the evening, children, parents, grandparents, and guests will be invited to create their own Healing Flag..inspired by the golden hour: a time to pause, gather, reflect, and celebrate what connects us.

After the Gala, these individual works of art will come together as one beautiful installation at Tatum Park, hanging side by side as a lasting expression of love, hope, gratitude, healing, and community🌻

Because wellness isn’t only about what we eat or how we move. Creativity, connection, expression, nature, and belonging are wellness too.

We’re grateful to be included among these incredible Northwest Ohio organizations!

Great programs need great organizations behind them. Across Northwest Ohio, local non-profits are doing the quiet, everyday work to keep our neighborhoods strong, safe, and thriving.

To support the internal infrastructure, tools, and people power that make this essential work possible, we are honored to invest $131,503 through our 2026 Capacity Building grants into 9 incredible local partners: BG Save Our Neighborhoods Group, Broadway Corridor Coalition, Children’s Developmental Center of Lima, Liberty Center of Sandusky County, Marketplace for All People, Toledo GROWs, Toledo Lead Resource Center, United Way of Putnam County, and Urban Wholistics.

Urban Wholistics exists to help remove barriers, create access, and make sure community voices are represented when decisions directly impact our neighborhoods.

A huge thank you to our community for speaking up, asking questions, sharing information, and turning concern into advocacy. I spoke up in the spaces where this conversation needed to happen, but it was the collective voice of the community that made it impossible to ignore.

We were honored to welcome the University of Michigan’s Future Public Health Leaders Program to Tatum Park by SONIA Organics!

Our Youth Farmers shared our history, gave a farm tour, and built meaningful connections with future public health leaders. We’re excited that this visit sparked a new relationship and look forward to future collaboration.

Due to hazardous air quality caused by smoke from the Canadian wildfires, today’s Senior Cooking & Crochet Class and Youth Farming Program have been canceled.

The health and safety of our participants, volunteers, and staff always come first. It’s better to miss one day than risk exposing seniors and youth to wildfire smoke. Please stay indoors as much as possible and take care. We look forward to seeing everyone back when conditions improve.
