Please share! Reminder! Tomorrow October 23 at 12:30pm please join us at One Government Center in Downtown Toledo for the outdoor Flag Raising and wreath laying ceremony in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution in Hungary.

Do you recognize anyone in these photos from 20 years ago who no longer will be able to be with us at this year's events.
No reservation is needed for the Friday program but we need your reservation now for Saturday October 24 from 3-6pm at the Hungarian Club of Toledo!

We planned a historic and cultural program with special guests at our Club with a keynote speaker from Hungarian Consulate in Chicago, representatives from Ohio National Guard, singers and performers from Detroit at BGSU.

We had a great turnout tonight at the Hungarian Club of Toledo Tuesday Trivia program. Thank you to everyone who came and to Julie and Jim McCann for managing this event series.

Did you know that the Ohio National Guard has a State Partnership Program with the Hungarian Defence Forces since 1993? You may read more about this is inbelow!

The Hungarian Club of Toledo is honored to have two of the representatives of the Ohio National Guard participate on October 24 between 3-6pm at our 70th anniversary commemoration of the 1956 Revolution in Hungary!

The 56-ers established the Hungarian Club of Toledo and purchased this current building. This is their legacy and important to remember on them. Father Hernady and St. Stephen's Church sponsored some of the Hungarian immigrant families, so we would like to remember him as well as all the heroes who lost their life in Hungary during the revolution or afterwards in prison or during the journey to the new world.

Do not miss this occasion especially if your family is from Hungary! The program will include nice musical presentations as well. It is a free event and light refreshments will be served between 3-4pm. Join us!

🎶 Meet our featured performer: Jake Graffiti!

We’re delighted to welcome Jake as a singer for the Hungarian Club of Toledo’s commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.

Jake is pursuing a music education degree at Bowling Green State University and is an active member of the local music community. He sings at First United Methodist Church and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, serves as vice president of the BGSU Men’s Chorus, and performs with multiple barbershop quartets and choruses. He also serves as president of BGSU’s Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity.

🇭🇺 Thank you, Jake, for sharing your voice and talent as we gather to honor Hungary’s history and the enduring spirit of freedom.
