Yesterday was the most uplifting heart-healing day yet. Honor and great respect goes out to our most Distinguished Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur and the AKA Sorority from UT who took time to give us their time. Also KTLCB and First Energy and their volunteers who worked hard on digging, planting, cutting grass and detailing was truly a godsend. The Sorority offered to partner with us in our efforts which filled my heart beyond words. Thank you to everyone that made yesterday a memorable experience for everyone involved. We look forward to what our partnership will produce for the families in our well deserving neighborhood.

So thankful to see her following through on the many things she spoke to me about when she came to help plant. We can look forward to seeing more resource support and financial support to deal with the food insecurity in our area. The JD Carter Community Garden will be a vital source for families in the Ironwood Area for years to come with Representative Kaptur’s guidance and continued support.
