Another Saturday, another chance to make a house feel like home.

Today, May 30, 2026, our volunteers delivered furniture and household essentials to six adults and two children as they transition out of homelessness and into stable housing. Comment “Volunteer” if you’re interested in getting involved.

The rain didn’t stop our volunteers from showing up and delivering hope to our neighbors in need this past Saturday. Through the storms, we delivered furniture and household essentials to 3 adults and 6 children because everyone deserves a place to feel safe, comfortable, and at home. Every bed, dresser, and lamp we deliver helps turn an empty space into a fresh start, and your support makes that possible.

Today we share a prayer written by one of the neighbors for herself as she heals from her past. She wanted to share it with our team:

“Stand on your rock, step out in faith, trust in God knowing He will leave you with hope in tomorrow. See yourself in Gods eye, see yourself as Jesus Christ sees you, you are someone worth dying for! Start to love yourself for who you are and who you can become. Give it back to someone else. Let’s heal the world one day, one step, one person at a time.”

The Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Maumee 11370 will be hosting their annual chicken BBQ fundraiser this Saturday, May 16th, at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Maumee. It runs from 11 am until they sell out. Over the past several years, the Knights have been generous supporters of Off the Streets Toledo and a number of other charities. Come grab a plate and show them some love - it’s a great way to enjoy a meal while giving back to a group that gives back to us.

This past Saturday, three neighbors received full deliveries, including one household with five children and another with six. All loaded and packed by our volunteers who made every cubic foot of that truck count.

The timing couldn’t have been better, because this week brought a large shipment of bed platforms and mattresses along with a significant furniture donation from Archbold Furniture, which means inventory is moving and more is ready to go.

None of this happens without the volunteers giving up their Saturday mornings and the donors, both furniture and financial, who keep the warehouse stocked and the deliveries rolling.

Starting May 16, we’re making some changes to our drop-off schedule.

Our monthly donation drop-off events will now both fall on the third Saturday of each month. Maumee runs from 9 a.m. to noon and Oregon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. We’re also expanding our weekly drop-off window in Maumee, now running every Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m.

More opportunities to give means more homes furnished and more neighbors supported. If you’d like to help make these drop-offs happen, comment “Volunteer” and we’ll reach out by DM.
