We’re currently in greatest need of blankets, bath towels, dressers, dry measuring cups and spoons, and microwaves.

Over the last two weeks, our volunteers have been busy delivering hope to families across the Toledo area. These deliveries are made possible by the generosity of people in our community. If you’d like to help, one of the easiest ways is to shop our gift registries.

Every item you purchase helps us continue delivering hope to families as they build a new home.

Neighbors in Prayer: Richard
Household: 1 Adult | 0 Children

His Story: Richard’s housing journey changed when he was forced to leave a living situation that had become unhealthy. With very little time to transition, he faced uncertainty but continued searching for a safe place to call home.
Richard has now secured housing and is beginning the process of creating stability again.

Prayer Focus: Lord, bless Richard with peace and security in his new home. Heal the wounds caused by difficult relationships and provide him with supportive people who encourage him. May this new beginning remind him that he is valued and cared for.

We’re always accepting donations of furniture in good, usable condition to help furnish homes for our neighbors transitioning out of homelessness.

Right now, our critical needs are:

• Twin-size bed blankets
• Dry measuring cups and Measuring spoons

Last week, Off the Streets Toledo partnered with Archbold Furniture to help Off the Streets Lima stock their new warehouse.

Off the Streets Toledo provided housewares, while Archbold Furniture provided bedroom dressers, nightstands and bookshelves. We picked everything up and delivered it to Lima. Off the Streets Findlay was also there to help handle the furniture.

Three chapters, working together with the common missionaries to deliver hope.

Neighbors in Prayer: DeCarlos

Household: 1 Adult | 0 Children

His Story:

After returning home from incarceration, DeCarlos faced the difficult challenge of rebuilding his life without stable housing. Like many returning citizens, he needed an opportunity to begin again and find a safe place where he could move forward.

Through perseverance and support, DeCarlos was able to secure housing. This new home represents a fresh start and an opportunity to continue building a stable future.

Prayer Focus
Lord, walk with DeCarlos as he begins this new chapter. Give him strength to overcome past challenges, surround him with positive support, and help his new home become a place of stability, growth, and renewed hope.

A big thank you to the Knights of Columbus and Daughters of Mary at St. Joan of Arc Parish for their donations to Off The Streets Toledo!

After meeting John and Terry at a furniture drop-off earlier this year, we talked about our need for sponsors to help cover specific items we provide to families. That conversation led to Mike being invited to speak to the St. Joan of Arc Daughters of Mary about our mission and the needs of our neighbors. Before the meeting, the Knights presented a $500 check, and the Daughters of Mary also collected donations to support Off The Streets Toledo.

The Knights’ donation will provide about a month’s worth of microwaves, while the Daughters of Mary’s donation will provide approximately two months’ worth of pillows. We’re grateful to both groups for turning a simple conversation into a meaningful way to help us deliver hope.

Saturday’s donations included two microwaves, an electric range, bedding, towels, pillows and a dresser.

Seven donors showed up with items that will help furnish a home for a neighbor starting a new chapter. Thank you to everyone who continues to donate and help us deliver hope.
