The Josh Project The Josh Project Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing affordable swim lessons and water safety education to children and families to prevent drowning.

We offer low-cost lessons for ages 5–17. The Josh Project is a drowning prevention agency dedicated to water safety training and education.

46 years of dedication, 20 years at your Reynolds Road location, and two generations of building something truly special in our Toledo community. What a beautiful legacy!

Jeff and Ian Davis, your family’s commitment to sharing the joy of diving and opening doors for others is something worth celebrating. We are especially grateful that our paths have come together. Your partnership with The Josh Project means so much to us, and we’re excited about the opportunities we’re creating for our young people to discover a whole new world beneath the water.

🏊‍♀️💙 OVERCOMING FEARS. BUILDING CONFIDENCE. SAVING LIVES.

Every swimmer has a story. For some, it’s overcoming a fear of water. For others, it’s gaining the confidence to try something they never thought possible.

Through The Josh Project’s Fall 2026 Making Waves Swim Program, we emphasize individualized attention and encouragement, meeting every swimmer where they are and helping them develop confidence and lifesaving water safety skills.

None of this would be possible without the incredible support of Outdoor Afro, St. Francis de Sales School, and Greater Toledo Aquatic Club (GTAC), along with our dedicated volunteers and amazing families.

This is what it’s all about, this is his first time jumping off the diving board into 10 ft of water. Once they dive off, they have to swim to the side of the pool. This is only after a few weeks of lessons. So proud of you Jayceon.

💙 WHAT A WEEKEND FOR THE JOSH PROJECT!

Four events. Three days. One mission: Saving lives, one swimmer at a time!

From the Lucas County Children Services Caregivers Conference and Aqua Explorers at Aqua Hut Scuba & Travel to swim lessons at St. Francis de Sales School and the Indiana Ave Missionary Baptist Church Fall Harvest Celebration, we spent the weekend teaching, connecting, and creating opportunities!

It’s been a busy day for The Josh Project!

While our swimmers continued building their skills in the pool, our team was out connecting with families and sharing important water safety information at the Indiana Ave Missionary Baptist Church Annual Fall Harvest Celebration!

A special thank you to Indiana Avenue Missionary Baptist Church for inviting us to participate in this wonderful community event.

A huge thank you to our dedicated volunteer, LaTasha Deshell Frye, for showing up, setting up The Josh Project table, and representing our organization in the community! We appreciate your continued commitment to our mission!

Our Josh Project Aqua Explorers are back in the water today!

From swimming and snorkeling to exploring new underwater adventures, these young Explorers are building confidence and learning new skills!
