Today at the unit we are walking through Step 4 Inventory! We are excited for them to see what idols are keeping them from true freedom. We have seen the growth from Groundwork to this and God is doing amazing things here!

💚 HELP US HONOR EVERY LIFE 💚

One of the most powerful moments at Walk For Lives is seeing the faces and names of the loved ones we walk for.

This year thanks to an incredible organizer and volunteer who has generously offered to help create memorial banners for our city walks, we have an opportunity to bring these stories into communities across the country. 🇺🇸

Now we need YOUR help!!

🖤 Step 1: Register for the Walk For Lives location closest to you so you can be apart of this movement:
👉 go.walkforlives.org

💚 Step 2: Submit your loved one to be honored:

📅 Deadline to submit: JUNE 24, 2026

Important banner details:
• Memorial banners are created by state/location based on submissions received.
• A minimum of 20 loved one submissions are needed to create a banner.
• Each banner holds approximately 20 loved ones.
• The more submissions we receive, the more banners we are able to create to honor more lives.

Every name has a story.
Every face represents a life that mattered.
Every family deserves to know their loved one is remembered. 💚

Help us fill these banners with love, remembrance, and purpose.

Because we don’t just walk…

WE WALK FOR LIVES. 💚

👟 Shoes for Lives Shoe Drive 👟

At this year’s Walk for Lives Granbury, we’re introducing Shoes for Lives, a community shoe drive that turns compassion into action.

As we honor loved ones through The Shoes They Left Behind memorial display, we also want to give hope to those who are still struggling. Participants are invited to donate new or gently used shoes that will be distributed through outreach efforts and organizations serving individuals and families in need.

Every pair of shoes tells a story.

Some represent lives lost too soon. Others represent a chance for a new beginning.

By donating a pair of shoes, you’re helping provide dignity, support, and hope while raising awareness about the devastating impact of fentanyl in our communities.

💜 Bring a pair. Honor a life. Make a difference.

🚨 PRESS RELEASE 🚨

We are excited to share that the DEA has joined forces in partnership with United Against Fentanyl and the many incredible organizations helping organize the Walk For Lives! Together, we are standing united to bring awareness, honor lives lost, and fight the fentanyl crisis in our communities.

We are truly honored and excited to be part of this movement because every life matters, every story matters, and together we can make a difference.

DEA AND UNITED AGAINST FENTANYL ANNOUNCE NATIONAL PARTNERSHIP FOR WALK FOR LIVES 2026

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and United Against Fentanyl (UAF) today announced a national partnership for Walk for Lives 2026, a coordinated series of more than 100 family-led community events across all 50 states on July 11, 2026.

The Walkforlives initiative is organized by bereaved family members—typically a parent who lost a child to fentanyl—supported by trained volunteer leadership teams and community partners from the public and private sector. Each event features a one-to-two-mile walk, family testimonials, expert-led educational presentations, and a community resource fair connecting participants to lifesaving services including harm reduction, recovery support, grief counseling, and prevention education.
