The meeting will take place a t 6:00 PM, tonight at the old, historic court house. The is parking on all sides of the courthouse, with handicapped parking on the North side of the historic courthouse and on Alexander St between the historic courthouse and the new white courthouse building. The resolution will be honoring our members for the 100th anniversary of the Stephens County American Legion Post 104. At the monthly meeting last night, we agreed on wearing a white shirt, short sleeved shirt, gray slacks, the American Legion tie if you have one, or a dark blue tie, and the American Legion service cap (not the baseball cap). The December 8th meeting of the Stephens County American Legion Post 104 will not be held this month. With holiday activities, member travel and no Post 104 activities scheduled this month, Commander David Roberts and Adjutant Tom Butcher reviewed the current and upcoming activities of Post 104, and did not find anything that would require, or benefit from a meeting in December. In keeping with last year’s schedule, it was decided that the next meeting would be on January 12th, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the American Legion Post 104, 610 E. Doyle St., in Toccoa.

The Commander and I hope that you had a Happy Thanksgiving, filled with the sights, sounds, and aromas of this day with friends and family, and overflowing with warmth and love! We wish each of you, your families, and friends a Very Merry Christmas, and a Joyous, Safe, Exciting, and Prosperous New Year. And we hope that the spirit of Christmas stays within your hearts throughout 2026!

There will be another Bullet Points prior to the January 12th meeting with additional details on that meeting.

The Moogy Que will be held on Saturday, November 1st. To ensure a successful event, we require additional volunteers and a wider variety of desserts. We invite the baker in your household to prepare desserts such as cookies, cakes, or pies for sale at the Moogy Que. Please bring your donations to the Post by 9:00 AM on Saturday, pre-cut and ready for sale. We also require volunteers to assist with event operations on Saturday. Our promotional efforts have generated significant interest, and we need your help to ensure the event's success. As we enter the final stages of preparation, we rely on your support to make this event a success. Now is the time to demonstrate your commitment to the American Legion.
If you are able to assist, please contact me at 850-259-4796 or Commander David Roberts at 706-391-5447. We appreciate your consideration.

The October meeting of the American Legion Post 104, at 610 East Doyle St, Toccoa is this Monday, October 13th, at 7:00 pm.

This is the last monthly meeting before the Moogy Que on Saturday, November 1st! We need your help! We need you to commit to one of the positions for the event on Saturday! We do not have enough commitments at present to staff the minimum level of people to run the Moogy Que. For most of you this will only be about 4 ½ hours. For some of you who want to help with the set-up and/or clean-up, it will mean 5 ½ to 6 hours. We have been actively selling sponsorships this year, and it looks like the Moogy Que is on track to being one of the biggest ever! But, that won’t happen if we don’t have the people to run it efficiently to keep the public happy. From one Vet to another, please help!

We will also be talking about the sponsorships, review those already on board, and what we provide to them. We will also have the latest totals for sponsorships earnings to date. You will be surprised!

We look forward to seeing you at this important meeting Monday at 7:00 PM.

I have attached the minutes for the September 8th meeting of the American Legion Post 104.

Until this Monday the 13th, this is
