At our September meeting, the Pilot Club of Toccoa was delighted to present the Ambassador of the Year Award to club member Tama Henson.

Tama was selected on her dedication, creativity, and outstanding service to the Pilot Club of Toccoa, especially through her leadership as Membership Chair as she led in preparing the Bus Driver’s Luncheon, organized and decorated for “Heart Attack” month in February at a local nursing facility, coordinated food for the North East Region Workshop luncheon, made copies of the new Plan of Work for club members as being only a few areas where she shared her talents.
Congratulations, Tama Henson. This award was well deserved!! We are proud of you!

On July 28th, the Pilot Club of Toccoa was honored to serve lunch to the Stephens County school system bus drivers during their annual training session held at the Furman Gregory Agricultural Center.
Eight Pilot members plus two Anchor club members volunteered their time to prepare and serve the meal. The luncheon was made possible through generous food donations from Pilot Club members and funding provided by a pick me up grant from Pilot International. Our thanks goes to Captain D’s for providing the slaw for the meal.
In addition to lunch, each bus driver received a thoughtfully prepared goodie bag as a token of appreciation for the important role they play in safely, transporting our community’s children each day.
This year marks what is believed to be the Pilot Club of Toccoa’s 26th consecutive year of providing this special meal. We wish the bus drivers a safe, successful and rewarding school year!
