Toccoa High School Purple Hurricanes, Class of 1968 A place for former THS students and friends to keep in touch with each other, share memories and pos The first Toccoa High School graduation occurred 1897.

The town of Toccoa originated in 1873, before Stephens County was formed in 1905. Although there is no written record, education in a Toccoa system may have begun long before the formal organization of the schools in 1891. The last class to graduate from Toccoa High School was the 1971 class, after which the county and city schools systems were consolidated. Those of us who have been privileged to

enter the doors, walk the halls, study and graduate from Toccoa Public Schools are indeed an elite and honored group of people who proudly represented the "Purple and Gold" of the "Purple Hurricanes.". We are equally as proud to call ourselves THS Alumni. This page was created to provide a forum for the graduating class of 1968 to locate each other, leave a note or message, become reaquainted and tell about your memories of a great tiime in our lives. We hope that it is also instrumental in helping to create a formal reunion for the '68 graduates.
