Today, the members of the Carnes Creek Fire Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who came out to honor and celebrate the life of former Fire Chief, Harold “Big Daddy” Allen.

The overwhelming show of respect, support, and love from our community, neighboring fire departments, public safety agencies, friends, and family was a true testament to the incredible impact Harold had on so many lives. Seeing so many people stand together in his honor is something our department and his family will never forget.

Harold dedicated his life to serving others and played a role in paving the foundation that continues to guide the Carnes Creek Fire Department today. His legacy of service, leadership, and compassion will live on in each of us.

On behalf of myself and every member of the Carnes Creek Fire Department, thank you for your prayers, kind words, acts of kindness, and for standing beside us as we said our final farewell to a man who meant so much to so many.

Rest easy, Harold “Big Daddy” Allen We have the watch from here.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Harold "Big Daddy" Allen.

Harold was a one of a kind great man! He served the citizens of Stephens County as a firefighter at Carnes Creek Fire Department for many years before stepping away due to his health. He was very proud to be a part of the fire service and enjoyed every second of it.

He will be missed by many! Please keep his family and friends in your prayers in the days ahead.
