Dear Community,
The reason for this note is mostly to ask that you join me in thanking the people on the SESQUI and other committees for all the time and effort they put into making each of our sesquicentennial events run so smoothly.
The people who designed, planned and executed this past weekend celebration were amazing! Many volunteers worked for months, the Tivoli DPW worked tirelessly on preparations the
week before, and some good Samaritans offered to help keep our village tidy on the days of the actual celebration. All of you did an outstanding job!

So many people this weekend told me how much fun they had had; our community connection to each other could not have felt stronger. Hopefully everyone who came met at least one Tivolian that they didn’t already know. All of our sesquicentennial events from the lovely Memorial Day service at the Red Church back in May to the fireworks show were a huge success! (And thankfully, there are even more to come in the months ahead.)

Thank you to our mayor Joel Griffith who did a marvelous job leading the way from conception through realization; to all of the volunteers; and a sincere thank you to everyone in Tivoli who came out to celebrate – I feel so lucky to live in such a great community.
