DAVA Unit 109 Juniors The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Unit 109 helps out our Soldiers/Veterans, Homeless Soldiers/Veterans and our Community in various of ways.

The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Unit 109 Juniors help out the homeless veterans by hosting donation drives to collect food, supplies (i.e. camping supplies such as tents, pots and pans, etc.) They host fundraisers for many non-profit organizations such as National Veterans Homeless Support, INC., Beta, SPCA, and many more. They clean the local Veterans cemetery and put flowers at the sold

They also help the DAV and DAVA with membership drives, help decorate the hall for various holidays such as Christmas and Halloween for not only the members but also for the Bingo players. They adopt Military units overseas and send them cards from home thanking them for their services. They also make cards for the homeless veterans.

It’s with a heavy heart that we share news of the passing of Women’s Army Corps veteran and devoted DAV member Ginger MacCutcheon. Ginger lamented that her time in the military was cut short due to several violent assaults. Being part of DAV was how she continued her service to this country, in defiance of the perpetrators who tried to break her.

Ginger bravely shared her harrowing story as part of DAV’s recent report on women veterans and mental health. While it was difficult for her, she felt strongly about using her voice to help others. Thank you, Ginger, for everything you’ve given to this community. Thank you for fighting for yourself and for so many others.

I do not know who the disrespecting person is to take Kay.Egans picture down of the page. This is used for past Juniors to stay in touch. Her picture was up there with her and the Juniors as a memorial to her. Who ever is posting on the page get off and go somewhere else because you have alot of past Juniors very angry. You can not be a member and disrespect. KAY EGAN

Not sure if all the past juniors have heard but on July 28th Miss Jeanie Mc Donald past away she was a wonderful lady. Who help the junior so much but the best thing she did was install the incoming junior officers and initiate new members she did alot of other things that people did not know to support the Junior group.we know she is our angel in heaven.RIP Miss Jeannie you are missed

Today I went to a memorial service on Barnesville Ga it was awesome. I hope all the past Junior members got a chance to go. It has been 3 years since I have went to one just unable to find any up here. To all the family members who lost someone who paid the ultimate price for out freedom thank. I will try to get to Florida for veterans day but that is in God's hands. But thank you everyone stay safe

Hope everyone had a great day. Today I was able to find a memorial day service in Barnesville ga. It was awesome hope everyone had a chance to go to one. I did not get down to Florida this year. But I am planning to be there next year if at all possible and I trust I God if it is ment to he it will

To any of the past juniors are in town on Saturday December 18 at 11:30 am is the wreaths across America st the cemetery on day road ceremony is at 12 noon you will remember the cemetery we many years ago.try to take care of it but since we have all moved away a group that is doing a aswome job out there make sure to thank them and do not forget those that are with dad resting out there

Anyone that is still in Titisville at the cemetery on day road is then wreaths across America wreath laying will be at 11:30 am.and ceremony will be at noon try not to miss it
