STEAM Club begins on Wednesday, September 2nd with two sessions at 1:30PM and 4:00PM. No registration required to participate! This is a weekly event featuring an activity, craft, or challenge designed to teach us about STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math). Each session will focus on a different aspect of STEAM, starting with Science!

Join us on Wednesday, September 2nd at either 1:30pm or 4:00pm where we will make, "Shaving Cream Rain Clouds"

Coming up on Friday, August 28th is our first ever Bedazzle Your Book Night! This is FREE event, but registration is required. Please call (815) 646-4511 to register, or stop by the library!

Book Bedazzling is a new, viral trend where readers delicately glue down rhinestones to the covers of their favorite books. This is a fun, relaxing activity that will turn your book into a work of art!

This is a Bring-Your-Own-Book event, we will provide the materials and space. Paperbacks are recommended for Book Bedazzling, but Hardcover books will also work.

This activity is best suited for adults and teens. Due to the type of materials used for bedazzling, we do not recommend this activity for children. Feel free to give us a call if you have any questions about this event or the age recommendation.

Exciting update from our garden!🫑🍅🌱 We just harvested the first vegetables from the plants our library kids planted during our Summer Reading Program! Originally, we had 2 peppers and 2 cherry tomatoes, but Mr. Chuck got hungry and wanted to try one! 😄 He said it was delicious! Great job, kids!
