TEACHING ARTISTS! With the start of the school year, our education staff members are traveling the state, hosting a series of meetings to support your work in schools and communities. Join us for one of these upcoming teaching artist meetings:

• August 29 @ 5:00 p.m.: Woodward (Woodward Arts & Theatre Council, Inc.)
• August 30 @ 6:00 p.m. Lone Wolf (Quartz Mountain State Park)
• September 5 @ 6:00 p.m.: Durant (NIKO venue + studio)
• September 7 @ 6:00 p.m.: Tulsa (WOMPA Creative Compound)
• September 12 @ 6:00 p.m.: Norman (MAINSITE Contemporary Art)
• September 14 @ 6:00 p.m.: OKC (ARTSPACE At Untitled)

During these meetings, you will have the chance to learn about the Oklahoma Arts Council’s Teaching Artist Roster—including how to apply and how to make the most of membership. You will also get to meet other teaching artists and representatives of arts organizations so that you can grow your networks and learn valuable “tricks of the trade” from your peers in the field. Ideas for new settings for your work as a teaching artist and examples of innovative residencies will also be highlighted. Come ready with your questions—our team would love to connect with you and help meet your goals for the coming year and beyond.
