❗️DOGS OF THE DESERT. JORDAN.❗️

Dogs of the desert.

A world of dust, heat, long roads and animals whose suffering is often hidden far from sight.

Jordan is one of those places where help does not come easily. Dogs live by the roads, in the sand, on the edges of towns, waiting for food, safety, treatment, or simply for someone to notice them.

We have started to act there.

Together with Omar, who has been close to Centaurus for years and is now helping animals in Jordan, we are regularly reaching the dogs, feeding them, learning their reality and building the first steps of a much bigger mission.

This cannot be just one story.

Not one dog.

Not one moment.

But many lives still waiting in the heat, dust and silence.

Because animals have no nationality. They have no passports. Their suffering is not less important just because it happens far away.

We have been there. We have seen the roads, the desert, the dogs and the places that cannot be understood from a distance. We know this is only the beginning.

Ahead of us are stories we do not yet know. Animals whose names we have not yet spoken. Places we will still need to reach. Decisions we will make step by step.

But one thing is already clear: if we truly want to help animals, we cannot choose only the places that are close.

Sometimes we have to go further.

Into the dust, the heat and the silence.

For the dogs of the desert.

For the animals of Jordan.

For every life that is not too far away to matter.

Stay with us. This journey is just beginning. ❤️

A new world is opening before us. A world of dust, heat, long roads and animals whose suffering is too often hidden far from sight.

We are beginning a new journey in Jordan - not for one story, but for thousands of lives still waiting for someone to stop.

Soon, we will show you more from this place. The dogs, the people, the roads, the silence, and the reality that cannot be understood from far away.

Stay with us.

❗️ADMIRAL NEEDS YOUR HELP TODAY❗️

It has been raining all day.

Somewhere in the middle of this muddy, grey day stands Admiral – a small horse whose future is still uncertain.

We are very close, but we still need about $400 to secure his chance for a different life.

For Admiral, this is not just another day.

If you can, please stand with him today and help us reach the finish line.

Volunteering in Modlimowo is in full swing. ❤️

Every day brings new challenges, lots of work, and plenty of reasons to smile. There are animals to care for, fences to repair, hay to move, dogs to cuddle, horses to feed, and countless small tasks that help keep this place running.

But above all, there are rescued animals.

Animals who were once forgotten, unwanted, neglected, or left without help. Today they have a safe place, caring people around them, and a chance for a better life.

That’s what makes every early morning, every tired muscle, and every busy day worth it.

A lot is happening here.

A lot of good.

And we are grateful for every volunteer who chooses to be part of it. ❤️🐴🐶

It’s easy to say “forever” when everything is going well.

When a horse is healthy.

When she walks calmly out to the pasture.

When you believe the hardest part is already behind you.

The true meaning of that word reveals itself many years later.

Rewia is now 21 years old.

Sixteen years ago, she found an adoptive home.

And for all those years, someone has been there for her.

Not for a month.

Not for a year.

For sixteen years.

Today, Rewia is a senior horse. Getting up has become more difficult. More and more often, it’s clear that she is struggling with pain.

What touches us most is that she has started to fear resting.

She used to lie down peacefully in her stable. Today, she increasingly chooses open space because she is afraid that if she lies down too close to a wall, she may not be able to get back up on her own.

And that is why we want to help her.

Because sometimes the most beautiful stories are not stories about rescue.

Sometimes they are stories about people who kept their promise for sixteen years.

And about a horse who, sixteen years later, still needs our presence.

If you can, please join us in supporting Rewia today. ❤️🐴

A few days ago, we received a phone call from an outraged woman from Netherlands.

She is 73 years old.

She wanted to adopt a middle-aged dog.

The shelter refused.
The reason? Her age.

The woman was shocked.
She said: “Does a person, at a certain age, lose the right to love and care for an animal?”

She also asked us whether things are similar in Poland.
Whether there is an age limit after which a person - just like when applying for a loan - becomes “too old” to adopt a dog.

And it really is a difficult topic.

On one hand, there are older people who have enormous hearts, time, patience, and tenderness.
On the other hand, shelters think about the animal’s future and ask:
“What will happen to the dog in a few years?”

But still… should age automatically disqualify a person?
We are very curious about your opinion.

Should animal shelters refuse adoptions to people over the age of 70❓

❗️BORYS. $800. A LOT OR A LITTLE? ❗️

It’s interesting how easily we put a price on things.

A new phone.
A weekend getaway.
Car repairs.
A holiday trip.

For all of them, we can quickly decide whether the price is high or low.

And then a day like today comes along.

And suddenly, we are faced with a very different question.

What is another morning worth?

What is the next sunrise worth?

What is the chance to walk out into the paddock, meet other horses, enjoy breakfast and simply live, worth?

Today, we would like to raise $800 for Borys.

It is not a small amount.

But life has never been cheap.

And good health is rarely free.

For years, Borys helped people. We are told he used to pull a carriage with children. He was part of family outings, holidays, memories and ordinary days.

Today, he is the one who needs help.

And perhaps stories like his show how quickly people become accustomed to an animal’s presence.

As long as they can keep going.

As long as they can work.

As long as we still need something from them.

Every rescued animal has a story.

And very often that story changes at a moment exactly like this.

With a decision that one more day is worth fighting for. One more month. One more year.

Very soon, during our Open Days, you will be able to meet hundreds of rescued animals. Horses, donkeys, cows and many former residents whose futures once hung in the balance, just as Borys’ future does today.

Perhaps one day you will meet him there as well.

But first, we need to help him through what he is facing right now.

So today, we are not asking whether $800 is a lot.

We are asking whether together we can turn that amount into more mornings.

More sunsets.

More moments with people who will gently stroke his neck and say:

“We’re glad you’re here.”

Because sometimes that is all that stands between an animal and the next chapter of its story.

20 years was only the beginning. ❤️

A few days ago we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Centaurus.

20 years ago nobody believed this would work. We were students. People laughed at us and said that building a horse sanctuary in Poland made no sense. They said nobody would support rescued horses here. They said it would all collapse after a few months.

Back then we were dividing one carrot between 21 rescued horses, walking around neighborhoods with volunteers carrying sacks for oats and vegetables. We were not rich. We had no big sponsors, no investors and no idea how huge this story would become.

Today nearly 1500 horses live under our care and more than 3000 have already been rescued. Thousands of other animals found help because of people like you.

A few days ago we celebrated this anniversary together and these photos show both the very beginning of our Foundation and the people who create Centaurus today. Old memories, old photos and the faces of people who continue this story every single day.

But the truth is that after 20 years we still feel exactly the same responsibility.

Because rescue never truly ends.

The animals who are already here still need food, treatment, diagnostics, hay, straw, safe shelters and people who will continue fighting for them every day.

And maybe that is why this anniversary feels so emotional for us.

Because Centaurus was built from absolutely nothing.
From crazy dreams.
From students nobody believed in.
From people who simply refused to walk away from suffering.

Today we want to ask you to enter the next 20 years together with us.

Even a small donation can help our animals start this new chapter differently than we started 20 years ago.

Thank you for every year, every message, every rescue, every shared post and every moment you stayed with us. ❤️

Over these 20 years we met thousands of people.

Some helped us.
Some tried to stop us.
But the first group was always much bigger.

We watched rescued horses grow old with us. Some were born in our sanctuary after we rescued their mothers from slaughter. Some spent their entire lives under our care because of health problems or trauma. Many senior horses we rescued at the very beginning said goodbye to us only a few years ago.

Sometimes it feels impossible that two decades passed so quickly.

But at the same time Centaurus became something much bigger than we could ever imagine back then.

Not only a sanctuary.
Not only a Foundation.

A place that gave hope to animals nobody else wanted anymore. ❤️

People often ask us:
“Wait… this exists in Poland?”

And we smile every time, because maybe that is the biggest proof that impossible things can become real when enough people decide not to give up.

Today our anniversary fundraiser goal is 3000 dollars.

Not because we want to celebrate with luxury or appearances. We never cared about that.

We want to celebrate by protecting the animals who are already here with us.

And maybe that is why after 20 years we still believe this is only the beginning.

Thank you for being part of this story.

A day in the life of a volunteer in Modlimowo. ❤️

This is one of the places where our rescued animals finally get a chance for a peaceful life. Horses, cows, alpacas, dogs and cats live here surrounded by nature, care and people who simply want to help.

In this video we want to show you a little more of our daily life in Modlimowo. Feeding the animals, caring for them, spending time together and building this sanctuary step by step.

Volunteering here is not only about work. It’s about being close to animals, nature and something truly meaningful.

Watch the video to learn more about Modlimowo and our volunteer program. ❤️
