Save WHS

Save WHS We are trying to get people together to Save Williamson High School. We want to make sure the School Board knows that is not a good decision.

The study proposed 2 options: Consolidate CV & Elkland and send some Elkland students to WHS or add onto Elkland and send everyone there. The cost of combining all 3 schools is ~$28 million.

The next thing we need to make sure we communicate is that we don't want major program cuts (art, music, sports, etc). The kids need these programs to keep their interest in school and become good citizens. Make sure we get to the 4/11 board meeting at 7:30pm and continue to share information with the board.

The Northern Tioga School District Board of Education regular monthly meeting will be held at Elkland Area High School, 110 Ellison Road, Elkland, PA 16920, on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 7:30 PM.

The board voted down a "super school" for the 2011/12 year. Public meetings 3/28,29,30. Board meeting on April 1 to discuss closing CV or Elkland for next year. The board cannot make an official decision until 90 days after April 1 meeting. Thanks for your support!
