It's estimated that 67% of sepsis related maternal deaths are preventable. With that in mind, more than 30 maternal health champions - data scientists, physicians, nurses, PHD students, community advocates - from across the country met at Columbia University Irving Medical Center to discuss ways we can protect mothers from the threat of infection. I'm proud to have been invited to another room filled with open minds and hearts to hear Tara's story. I'll forever be grateful for the collaboration I've seen over the past 14 years sharing our experience on behalf of the foundation.
I look forward to seeing where we take it from here.💚
