DC Students | Taking Hope to the Streets 💙

Our students aren’t just learning what it means to live on mission. They’re preparing to take the mission to the streets.

DC Students, alongside our Next Generation Pastor, and Counseling Dept will be walking in support of mental health advocacy, su***de prevention, and individuals and families impacted by su***de.

The need is real. Statistics share that in 10 U.S. high school students reported persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness, and 1 in 5 seriously considered attempting to un-alive themselves.

But these aren’t just statistics. These are young people in our schools, churches, families, and communities.

So we’re showing up with awareness, advocacy, support, and HOPE. 💙

Help us take the mission beyond the walls and into our community.

The analog era was more about presence than posting—being fully in the moment instead of constantly capturing it.

Worship can be like that too. In the presence of God, we set down the distractions, stop trying to document everything, and simply become present.

Some moments with God cannot be replayed, summarized, or posted. If you want to know what happened, you had to be there. See you there tonight!

Following Jesus sounds good… until He asks you to surrender.

Denying yourself doesn’t mean becoming less of who God created you to be. It means surrendering your way, your comfort, your pride, your fear, and your need for everyone’s approval to follow His way.

You might wonder: What will people think? What if I mess up? What if I’m not good enough?

But Jesus never asked us to follow Him because we’d do it perfectly. He TOLD us to follow Him daily.

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” — Luke 9:23

So… are you ready to follow Him?
