Distinguished Young Women of Illinois We are part of the Distinguished Young Women Scholarship Program, which awards scholarships to thousands of deserving high school senior girls.

Founded in 1958, Distinguished Young Women is a free program that encourages participants to reach their full individual potential. Our mission is to empower young women by providing over $1 billion in scholarship opportunities, developing their
self-confidence in a positive peer environment and participating in our Life Skills Workshops that prepare them for success after high school. The young w

omen are evaluated in the following categories:
Scholastic Achievement 25%
Interview 25%
Physical Fitness 15%
Talent 20%
Self-Expression 15%

Defne will perform her beautiful vocal performance talent on Thursday, 6/25 and her strong fitness routine and eloquent self-expression answer on Friday, 6/26.
