Our final graduate to spotlight is…Izzy von Arnswaldt. Izzy has been a member of Plains 4-H Club for 7 years. She is graduating from Broadway High School. Her 4-H projects were Beef Heifers/Beef Cattle. Izzy has enjoyed showing commercial cattle and registered Shorthorn cattle at the Rockingham County Fair since 2018. Her first show heifer was a commercial calf from her farm, named Sunshine. The second year Izzy showed another commercial calf – Flicka. Izzy enjoys Shorthorns, and acquired a few in 2020. Her first Shorthorn heifer was Muffin. The following year Izzy showed a beautiful Shorthorn calf that was born on her farm, named Maple. That year she won Grand Champion Shorthorn Heifer. Izzy loves animals and has embraced animal husbandry of all kinds. She is grateful for all the fulfilling experiences that 4-H has offered.
