Hello, faithful followers, friends, and supporters! Thank you for reading this long post. Promise it’s encouraging!
Our Tillamook County Habitat for Humanity staff have spent the last several days in Atlanta, connecting with other Habitat affiliates, sharing ideas, learning new approaches, and finding inspiration for the future of affordable housing.
We are heading home feeling encouraged, energized, and excited about what lies ahead for Tillamook County!
But during our time here, something really got us thinking…
How many people in our community truly know what Habitat for Humanity does? And how many know the important role our ReStore plays in making that work possible?
We want our community to know that we take our mission seriously. We believe that everyone deserves a safe, decent, and affordable place to call home. And every day, we’re working toward making that a reality right here in Tillamook County.
But Habitat is about so much more than just building houses.
🏠 We Build Homes. We partner with individuals and families to create opportunities for affordable homeownership, helping build stability and brighter futures for generations to come.
🔨 We Repair Homes. Through our Critical Home Repairs program, we help homeowners, including seniors, veterans, and individuals living with disabilities, make necessary repairs so they can remain safe in their homes.
❤️ We Build Stronger Communities. Through volunteers, local businesses, donors, and community partnerships, we bring people together around one common goal: helping our neighbors.
🛒 And then there’s our ReStore!
Did you know that when you shop or donate at the Tillamook Habitat ReStore, you’re doing more than finding a great deal or giving your unwanted items a second life?
You’re helping build homes. You’re helping repair homes. You’re helping change lives.
Our ReStore is more than a thrift store. It’s an important part of how we support Habitat’s mission locally. Every purchase, every donation, and every volunteer hour helps us continue the work we’re doing throughout Tillamook County.
And that’s something we want more people to know!
As we return from Atlanta, we’re bringing home more than new ideas. We’re bringing home a renewed commitment to serve our neighbors, strengthen our partnerships, and find new ways to make affordable housing a reality.
We have big dreams for Tillamook County, and we know we can’t accomplish them alone.
To everyone who has shopped, donated, volunteered, partnered, prayed for us, or supported our organization in any way: THANK YOU!
You are part of this mission. You are part of every home built, every repair completed, and every life changed.
We’re excited for what’s ahead, and we can’t wait to bring our community along for the journey.
Because when Tillamook County comes together, we don’t just build homes. We build hope. 💙
