Its been a while I have not posted on here. We get so cough up in life. Daniels been doing well, growing a ton! This was Christmas 2024

HUNTINGTONS DISEASE AWARENESS MONTH 2024!

We have the symptoms,
And we are feeling the pain,
The doctor has the results,
He sits us down to explain,
"You have HUNTINGTONS.
"Your final tests have confirmed,"
Now we have been given this label,
It's not something we have earned.

We get advice and leaflets,
The number for a nurse,
That's just the beginning,
Now we have a fight,
Now we have to accept this curse.
How?
Why is this happening?
What are we going to do?
Do we just have to deal with it?
Do we just have to pull through?
Is this something we just have to accept?
Living life with an illness, not knowing what to expect.

There's no cure for this illness,
There's tablets for the symptoms,
Tablets for the pain,
But no one tells you how to accept an illness,
This illness is destroying the brain.
Friend's can't stop it.

Familys find it hard to understand,
There's no answer for this,
The doctor's don't have a plan.
The illness is progressive,
The journey doesn't have an end.
How are we supposed to accept this?
That's something we can't comprehend....
